There aren’t many places in Australia where you can’t find a hot air balloon ride. In fact hot air ballooning occurs in many of the popular tourist destinations or close by. You will find operators offering hot air balloon flights in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Most hot air balloon launches in Australia are made during the cooler hours of the day, at dawn or two to three hours before sunset. At these times of day, the winds are typically light making for easier launch and landing of the balloon. Most hot air ballooning operators include a champagne breakfast with the ballooning experience.
